The ImpossibleTable

Single stems seated on hidden nails beneath the linen — green stems rising bare from the cloth at three staggered heights, free of any vessel.

01The House

A design housefor the table.

Royal Table is Cristina’s luxury design studio for modern, high-end tablescapes and décor — built for exclusive private parties and high-end weddings.

The work balances romance and structure: fluid satin, gold accents, and one committed color story per table. Blooms are never levelled into a row — they are staggered low, mid and tall so the eye travels the length of the table and sightlines stay open across it.

Material language

  • Satin runners over ivory linen
  • Gold-rimmed clear chargers
  • Gold flatware
  • Clear glassware
  • Taper candles in gold holders
  • Printed menus & place cards
  • Tonal napkins

The Signature Impossible Table

Single stems on custom nail boards, staggered low, mid and tall in a zigzag down the run. No vases, no foam, no visible mechanics — only the green stem and the cloth.

Custom Color Stories

One palette, committed to completely — oxblood and gold, dusty blue and shell, blush and mauve.

03The Technique

How a bloomstands on nothing.

A plywood board is drilled with nails driven upward. Satin is laid over the board with the nail tips standing about an inch and a half proud of the cloth, and each stem is cut straight across and seated onto a nail. The board disappears beneath the table. What remains above it is a bare green stem and a bloom, standing at its own height.

Board
48 in × 3 in plywood · 7 nails per board, driven upward
Layout
Two staggered rows, 1½ in apart · 6⅞ in between stems · ¾ in from the edge
Heights
Low 9–10 in · Mid 13–14 in · Tall 17–18 in, measured from the tablecloth
Order
Mid · low · tall · mid · tall · low · mid, repeated along every board
Stems
Natural green stems left bare above the cloth — no vessels, no foam
Blooms
Roses, carnations, spray roses — hardy without water

04Selected Work

Tables, bycolor story.

Each table commits to a single palette. Select a color story to filter the work.

05The Process

Five movements,one evening.

  1. 01

    Vision & color story

One palette is chosen and committed to — every material on the table answers to it.

  2. 02

    Venue plan & board count

The floor plan is marked by hand to determine table runs and the exact number of boards.

  3. 03

    Board & nail build

Boards are cut to the run length of each table and nailed in two staggered rows, then wrapped and transported.

  4. 04

    Floral prep & hydration

Hardy stems are conditioned and cut straight across to three heights — low, mid and tall — so they seat cleanly on the nail and hold without water through the evening.

  5. 05

    Linen & install

Linen is laid over the boards on site and every stem is seated by hand, in sequence — mid, low, tall — down the length of the table.
